【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoverswaterwellcasingpipeandcouplingsmadefromthermoplasticmaterialsinstandarddimensionratios(SDR),SCH40andSCH80.Specificationsareprovidedfortheapplicationofthesematerialstowaterwellandgroundwatermonitoringapplications.Flushthreadedjointsystemsareincludedforscreenandcasingusedprimarilyintheconstructionofgroundwatermonitoringwells(seePracticeD5092).Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonlyIEEE/ASTMSI10).Note1-Certainfieldconditionsmayrequirealternativematerialstoensuresafelong-termuse.Theusershouldconsultfederal,state,andlocalcodesgoverningtheuseofthermoplasticmaterialsforwellcasingormonitorpipe.Note2-Thisstandardspecifiesdimensional,performanceandtestrequirementsforplumbingandfluidhandlingapplications,butdoesnotaddressventingofcombustiongases.AlthoughthepipesizesandSDRvalueslistedinthisspecificationaregenerallyavailable,numerousotherplasticpipesinSchedule40and80wall,otherSDRvaluesandvariousoutsidediametershavebeenusedforwellcasing.SuchproductsareoftenselectedbecausetheyfulfillcertainneedsandincludesalistofthesePlasticPipeWellCasingSpecials.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Section6,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
